Limassol #2

Here are some more pics from Limassol. Sorry it took me a couple days, yesterday was Valentines Day afterall and I was out with the girls the night before. So the first pictures are from the castle. The Medieval castle had components of the different conquerers that built their own touches on or over the existing structure. Throughout the building, we could see remnants of an anicent church and a more Greek-castle (columns, archways), which were built over by the Ottomans and then turned into a prison at some point. Unfortunately, they have a no camera policy in all the government, museum, art, antiquity buildings, so I sneak them when it seems safe but otherwise don't risk it. The pictures are mostly from the top of the castle because there was no one else up there and the view was amazing all around.

This was our hotel room. We decided to just book it when we found one cheap and clean, and conveniently this was the first one we went into. =) It was only 55 euros which was pretty good, everything else was like 150 E at least.

Yep that's the Mediterranean.

This is an amazing bakery we found! The bakeries here are so scrumscious and everything is home made and fresh. Thr proof is in the pic below. He is actually making everything from scratch, pretty impressive. And everythingwas deliscious btw.

Check out all the solar panels, they are literally on every building!

This was a march/demonstration from Syrians. IT was harmless to us (we convenitently were talking to a local who explained, otherwise we would have been completely freaked out!) but was really cool to see.

These are ruins we passed along the way in the bus. Now those are some serious ancient columns.
