The foliage is so different from home and really pretty! But I've learned you have to be careful when walking past low bushy palms because they grab at your clothing and poke you!
There are a lot of nice homes in our neighborhood. After taking busses to other parts of the city, I appreciate that we live in a nice area.
We figured out the bus system yay! It was challenging, but we got where we wanted to go and back! These are pics of the Old City I took last night. It was pretty chilly and rained off and on, but it was so fun checking out all the shops.
I'm so excited to go to this place! It is all gelato! We went in, but didn't actually get anything. There are candy shops/bakeries/ice cream parlors everywhere! We have found that the Cypriot Delight is really yummy an can be very different depedning on what village area it was made in.
Making dinner in our teeny kitchen was challenging, but we made it work.
This was our first meal together in Cyprus (well cooked together meal), we made a sauce with kaelbasa, cheese, and tons of veggies with pasta and bread. It was yummy and I'm so glad we have leftovers =)
